About Us
February 27th, 2008 . by NoahGreenwood Chapel Baptist Church is located in a small place called Taylor Town in Scott County Virginia. We are not affiliated with any association or convention. We are an Independent, Fundamental, Pre-millennial, Missionary, Baptist Church. The preaching is based only on the Word of God. The only Bible that we use, which is the only Word of God is the King James Version. We do not preach ideas, doctrines or opinions not found in the Bible. We firmly believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant and infallible Word of God and is the FINAL AUTHORITY for all doctrine. The preaching is intended to edify the believer as well as to convict the sinner of his need for salvation. We do not use gimmicks or entice people to the house of God with modern attractions and worldly excitement. We simply preach what “thus saith the Lord”. The message at our church is not contingent upon its popularity or its acceptability. The preaching is both constructive, inspiring and edifying while rebuking the wayward and condemning sin in all its forms. We stand against modernism, liberalism, humanism, communism, sodomy, immorality, perversion, evolution, and promote world evangelism, family, marriage, and clean, holy living that portray the morals and character that Christ exemplified and commanded in His Word.
“MISSION STATEMENT”

Greenwood Chapel Baptist Church will also spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost through home and foreign missions.
Greenwood Chapel Baptist Church will promote Christian growth of youth, concern for the universal welfare of members, commitment to community matters, and allegiance to God and Country.
“CHURCH COVENANT”
Having been, as we trust, brought by divine grace to embrace the Lord Jesus Christ, and to give ourselves wholly unto Him, we do now solemnly and joyfully covenant with each other, TO WALK TOGETHER IN HIM, WITH BROTHERLY LOVE, to His glory as our common Lord.
We do, therefore, in His strength, engage that we will exercise a Christian care and watchfulness over each other, and faithfully warn, exhort, and admonish each other as occasion may require. That we will not forsake the assembling of ourselves together but will uphold the public worship of God, and the ordinances of His house.
That we will not omit closet and family religion at home, nor neglect the great duty of religiously training our children, and those under our care, for the service of Christ, and the enjoyment of heaven.
That, as we are the light of the world, and salt of the earth, we will seek divine aid to enable us to deny ungodliness, and every worldly lust, and to walk circumspectly in the world, that we may win the souls of men.
That we will cheerfully tithe according to Scripture, according as God has prospered us, for the maintenance of a faithful and evangelical ministry among us, and to spread the Gospel over the earth.
That we will in all conditions, even till death, strive to live to the glory of Him who hath called us out of darkness into His marvelous light;
